Origins
The PURI'S belonged to Kasur, Batala, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Sailkot basically from areas of Punjab of undivided India. Our clan belonged to Kasur in Lahore District. The Kasur city had twelve sectors i.e Kats. Puri's generally lived in two Bara (big) Kats, Kat Rukanud Dir and Kat Azam Khan. Our clan belonged to big (...) Kat. Baba Dhanpat Rai - a very prominent person was one of our forefathers
